ABOUT ME

KEVIN Phillips
A.S., B.B.A., M.B.A.

Born and raised in the South of England, I began my fitness training in track and field, specifically the 400 meters. From the age of 15 I started fight training and for the next 18 years I trained all over Britain and Europe competing at various levels. 

 

The harshness and level of that training, which covered many disciplines, enabled me to build my knowledge and skill set to a very high standard. As a trainer it is very important to know what you are teaching and this only comes with years and years of highly disciplined training. 

I have trained people at all levels from the unfit to the professional athlete. I have always been known to train people hard, sessions with me are not easy, but it is relative to a client's current level. I am currently only training adult female clients. I am not taking on any new male clients. 

I now reside in Upstate New York and run my own private training gym. I live with my dog, JB Fletcher.

Whether you are an athlete or a complete novice. My training systems will provide you with what you need to reach your goals. 

My training sessions are not easy. I am not your typical trainer that allows clients to be lazy and do the bare minimum. You will be pushed and you will get fitter a lot quicker with me.

PRICE LIST AND TERMS

1 HOUR SESSION 1 PERSON $70

1.5 HOUR SESSION 1 PERSON $100

HOW MANY SESSIONS DO YOU NEED TO BE DOING PER WEEK?

That all depends on how active you are outside of my training sessions and what your goals and diet are like. If your diet consists of too many calories and too many carbs any amount of training will not lose you much weight.

 

2 sessions a week is the most common for people that are active outside of my gym.

3-4 sessions a week will get you very fit in a short amount of time even if you are not active outside of my gym.

5 sessions a week are normally there for a short term blast - for people that want a challenge, or to see results a little faster over a short period of time. 

One of the BIGGEST issues I have is when a client that is not active outside of training here opts for one single training session a week but expects the same results as a person that does two sessions a week at my gym and 3-5 session of their own - ie walking, running, yoga, at home circuit training per week. This is not only unrealistic but also is an absolute example of the mindset today, everyone wants the result but doesn't want to put the work in. Training and getting fit and strong is hard work, it has always been hard work and will always be hard work. If you are not prepared to put the work in then you will not succeed in my gym. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO EACH SESSION

Water and perhaps a sports drink

A towel if you usually use one to wipe sweat away

Appropriate training shoes - please wear different footwear from your car to the gym as to avoid getting my floor dirty or wet. 

TERMS - PLEASE READ

All single training sessions to be paid in full at the start or end of that training session - CASH OR CHECK made payable to Kevin Phillips and I also accept Venmo. You can pay for multiple sessions in advance also. 

 

Your first cancellation after 8pm the night before training will be subject to you having to do many many British burpees on your next session. If you cancel a session in this manner for a second time, then the full session will be charged. Too many clients have taken advantage of my good nature and become lazy when they can't be bothered to train. This is why this rule is in place.

 

Arriving late for a training session will eat into your training time and not the training time of the next client. If your session is due to end at 8am, it will still end at 8am even if you are late. My time and the time of my clients is very valuable.

My training services have and will always be open to people regardless of their race, sexuality and religious beliefs. Aggressive, arrogant or stupid behavior will never be tolerated in my gym.  

My sessions are for adult females only - 18 and above. I do not train people that are morbidly obese or have heart conditions. My gym is not the right training environment for this category of person. Training sessions are by appointment only. 

By commencing training at my gym you agree to these terms.

6 weeks get fit

3 TO 4 SESSIONS A WEEK FOR 6 WEEKS TO BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION FITNESS AND STRENGTH

I would say the biggest reason people fail when training is a lack of consistency, especially when they first start out. They think 1 training session a week with me is enough when they spend the rest of the week eating what they like and not being active. This is far from reality!  

My 6 Weeks Get Fit program is designed at people wanting to kickstart their training goals. To keep things consistent to enable you to get in the habit of exercising on a regular basis. 

The first session will be assessing your current level of strength and fitness through a series of tests. This is your baseline. From there you start the progressive program over 6 weeks and at the end of those 6 weeks you are assessed again to mark your progress using the same strength and fitness tests. This will show you what is achievable in such a short amount of time. You will also be given homework - training and stretching to do between sessions and a diet guide to help you achieve as much as possible. 

$1260 3 SESSIONS A WEEK FOR 6 WEEKS

$1680 4 SESSIONS A WEEK FOR 6 WEEKS

The cost of the course is payable on your first session by cash, check. or Venmo. You will be given your at home training and stretching programs on your second sessions after assessing your diet and strength and fitness levels from your first session.
